Kassie is not only an incredible doula, but truly one of the most wonderful people I have ever known. The decision to hire a doula was a bit nerve racking as my husband and I prepared for the birth of our first baby. We were worried that having someone else present might take away from the intimacy of the experience, or might make my husband feel like less of a primary support and participant, and that could not be further from what we experienced. Kassie brought indescribable comfort and confidence to both of us during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I actually do not know how we would have gotten through without her guidance. Our birth experience was not what we expected, and Kassie took what would have been an extremely terrifying experience and made it feel as safe and empowering as it could. She was there to answer every question, to advocate for us, and to ensure that we always felt informed and heard. She navigated delivery with so much wisdom and grace, and seamlessly fit into the team of doctors and nurses that were present. The amount of support she provided to both of us is unlike anything we ever could’ve imagined, and I really cannot recommend her enough. As we navigated postpartum complications Kassie continued to be a steadfast support for us- visiting us not only in the hospital and at home, but also making herself available for check ins any time. She continues to be a listening ear and a wealth of knowledge. I feel like I have known her in every lifetime, and feel so lucky to have had her present for one of the most sacred and challenging experiences of my life. Every person deserves the kind of care that Kassie provides.
